2K Games Reveals New City Features
NBA 2K23 is about to be released and 2K Games has announced a lot of new content in the past few days. Recently 2K announced a series of new features for NBA 2K23 “The City” mode, including fast travel stations, new locations, and more.
In the latest Courtside Report, 2K has added several features to The City to make it more accessible, listen to player feedback, and add some cool new features to the NBA 2K23 release on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
“The City is an incredibly authentic way for players to experience basketball culture. Tying MyCAREER closely with the City lets players truly live out their career in a unique way on their journey to legendary status on and off the court,” said Erick Boenisch, VP of NBA Development at 2K and Visual Concepts. “Community feedback has been key in the new innovations we’ve added and we look forward to players experiencing everything we’ve brought to NBA 2K23 this year.”
While The City will be slightly smaller than last year’s version, it will offer a better experience with the addition of fast travel stops to allow players to get around quickly. The boroughs have been revamped and relocated, with themed locations that touch on the true essence of each borough. 2K also revealed that the season will bring a new set of rewards every six weeks.
New locations in London’s Financial City
Block is located in the heart of the city, allowing players to find all content in one place. As for The Theater, it replaces the Warehouse building as the hub for instant matchmaking games. Every Friday, the four event playlists will also be replaced with four new ones. J. Cole’s Dreamville studio will be the place for those who became friends with him to win the support of the city in MyCAREER.
The arena allows players to play MyCAREER mode there, with a massive plaza outside. To create a pre-game atmosphere, players could show off their looks in front of the media or answer their questions and complete any outstanding tasks after the game. Finally, the design of the Event Center was overhauled, with the Jordan Challenge Building allowing players to quickly enter a new game mode for the legend.
NBA 2K23 will be officially released tomorrow, and now we can get ready to get into it. When we enter this game we can choose one to build based on the player’s rating and then use 2K23 MT to speed up the build.
